This is the latest attraction which showcases the fish and other marine life found in different parts of the world.
A covered walkway winds throughout the area housing the River Safari so
visitors need not fear the hot sun. It is situated next to the Singapore
Zoo and the Night Safari.
The River Safari has different sections named after the great rivers of the world and in each section there are large aquariums holding the different types of fish and marine life.
The above picture shows a replica of the flooded forest of the Amazon in which fish teem.
The fully air-conditioned giant panda enclosure is also located here at the River Safari. Two giant pandas, Jia Jia and Kai Kai are on loan for a period of ten years from China.
There is also a red panda. It has a beautiful tail that is reminiscent of the squirrel's tail.
The River Safari is not complete yet as the river along which passenger boats will cruise is not open to the public yet.
