Beauty Beyond Belief, Sabah, Land Below the Wind

I would like to share a video which tells you about where I'm living at the moment, Sabah, the Land below the Wind.

It has a wealth of natural beauty found in our ancient rain forests, a mysterious mountain and scenic beaches. A wonderful underwater world of corals, fishes, underground caves in world renowned dive sites off our coast draw divers from all over the world.

See for yourself Nature's wonders in this video and be captivated for a lifetime.

Mickey Mouse Still Going Strong

I couldn’t resist taking photos of one of Disney’s most famous figures when I chanced upon him in a shopping mall.

I took these using my new cell phone. I didn’t know how to use the new phone but tried to and the following pictures are the result. It was quite embarrassing to have people stare at you while you were pressing different buttons on your phone and holding it this way and that, trying to get it to work!

Anyway I did get some of Mickey Mouse, a favorite with old and young.
There’s also one of Minnie Mouse. It looks like her!!
There are also figures in groups. I think it’s Mickey in different getups.
They certainly brought back sweet memories of Mickey Mouse and Minny Mouse cartoons that I used to watch. I also remember when I went to Disney Land in Orlando, U.S.A. where I saw larger than life Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Sigh..... how fast time flies!

The New Palace in Kuala Lumpur

The Yang Di Pertuan Agong ( King ) of Malaysia has moved into his sprawling new palace which is set in lush surroundings on elevated land. The palace is known as Istana Negara and has three different entrances. His recent investiture was held in this new palace.

The main entrance is where tourist buses drop off crowds of tourists for snapshots outside the huge ornamental gate.

Guards are posted on either side of the gate, one in traditional uniform while the other is mounted on horseback.  It’s amazing that the horse can remain so still. Many people go right up to the guards to pose for snapshots.

The gardens outside the gate are still being planted with marigolds and other green foliage. When the landscaping is completed, it will be more beautiful than what it is like now.
