Singapore’s Chinatown Welcomes The Rooster Year

I’ve noticed that Singapore street décor is more beautiful compared to Malaysian street décor.
Malaysia’s malls are famous for their décor, with each competing to outdo the other in the hope of luring more visitors which eventually translates into more sales for their tenants.

Singapore, on the other hand, focuses on its streets along the main shopping belt, namely Orchard Road. During the Christmas season, there are beautiful lights strung across the street, featuring angels, reindeer, bells, etc, everything to do with Christmas. Christmas trees of different sizes could be seen along the road, in front of the big shops.

During the Chinese Lunar New Year, the focus was on Chinatown. A huge Rooster was the main attraction.

The road divider had numerous chickens, all lanterns, which were very attractive.

The main road had beautiful flowers hanging across it.  These photos were taken very early in the morning before the streets got crowded. Imagine how beautiful these lanterns are when lighted up at night!!
